His official name is now "Yankee Doodle Dandy"
The head had to look "real".
The paint was not covering very well so I decided to base coat it in white next.
Adding black lines.
It was very difficult to get the lines even.
Now for the fun part.
Thie one will sit in front of the Children's Museum so I started to add some things that represent stations at the museum.
Stars and shadows.
Can you spy the bubble room, tea party, grandma's attic, fish pond, street light, books, puzzles, books?
I painted the talons and tail to look real too.
Now to add color.
After much brain storming the idea formed to add lots of color and then add tangles.
adding tangles.
Trees for the forest and fire tower.
The reading tree.
After a few weeks the eagle is complete.
It just needs a clear protective coat and it is ready to go.
