Geocaching is a big part of our life
So it was natural to create a book about our favorite hobby. Never head of geocaching then head over to http://geocaching.com and read about this high tech treasure hunt. It is all around the world and a great sport for all ages.
Can You Hear the Echo
This book is so filled with emphemera that it "yawns" and never closes. That is pretty common with altered books.
Sharing just a few of my favorite pages.
Since the book is about John Muir the photos and words fit nicely. Here I created found poetry by masking the words I wanted to keep and then inking over the pages.
Since we are out in the elements so much we needed gear for all types of weather, hiking and bugs.
A stump?
When looking for a real geocache you look for suspicious hiding places. I wanted to hide a "cache" in this book. In the other nitches you can see a laptop and a backpack. Both help with enjoying this sport.
Can you see the cache?
The ammo can (geocache) within the stump.
Inside the back cover
All the information that is in a real geocache is in the envelope.
